From the Desk of Mary Kicza

Dear NESDIS Colleagues:
Mary Kicza

I am pleased to report that in the last month, we participated in the American Meteorological Society (AMS) annual meeting in New Orleans; debuted our NOAA Satellite and Information Service Annual Report which chronicles some of our most noteworthy achievements in 2011; and participated in NOAA and NESDIS Constituent Briefings (and employee Town Hall meetings) on the President's FY 2013 budget. In this edition of NESDIS News, we highlight our participation in these key stakeholder events. Participating in these events (and others) allows us to reach a much wider audience, strengthen relationships, and provide updates to constituents, stakeholders, and the public.

As we close out this month, I simply want to say - - THANK YOU.

Thank you for your continued support as we endeavor to work tirelessly to ensure that our satellites are functioning properly and providing data, and our data and information services are available 24 x 7, 365 days per year to support NOAA's mission, our customers and partners, and the Nation.
